Knocking on the Door!

An all orange car with EKeys-4-Cars on board and things were right in the world of Bernhardt Motorsports again. The Dover, NH driver earned a dominated win at the PASS Non-Winners 100, in doing so he locked hmself in to this years Oxford 250.

Helliwell who led a race high 145 laps during the historic 250 one year ago showed he still has a car to contend after starting 12th on the grid he took the 27nh to lead on lap 66 and never looked back.

Helliwell lead by more than a straightaway during the 3/4 mark of the 100-lap event. He survived two late race restarts to clam his first win at the famed Oxford Plains Speedway and with PASS Series after competing with the tour since 2001.

We've been close a hand full of times," said Helliwell. "To final get a win at Oxford with PASS, it feels really good. We felt like we let one get away at Thunder Road a few weeks ago... but this is great. The guys were joking, this has been my worst track over my career... but lately it's become one of my best tracks. Only took me 20 years to figure this place out..."

Helliwell and the Team look to continue their winning ways during the final tune up for the Oxford 250 when the Pro All Star Series heads back to the Maine oval on July 31st. In till then you most likely won't see the familiar bright orange Bruce Bernhardt machine in action.

We have a good piece for the 250," said Helliwell. Even though there are some good big money shows coming up i think we'll let it sit and continue to fine tune it for Oxford."

The Team gets back to points paying action with the American Canadian Tour this coming weekend July 16th at the track known as the Concrete Palace, Seekonk Speedway in Seekonk , MA.
